It’s our favorite time of the year again! CAMP THEME NIGHTS ARE HERE! At MAPLERIDGE, we know how to have a good time. Theme Nights are just one of the many ways that we love to create lasting memories at camp. In this blog post we will be sharing everything you need to know about Theme Nights, so get excited!
At each Session we feature a different Theme Night. Theme Night begins on Tuesday evening when campers change into their costumes in their cabin before dinner. Our themed nights are a fun way for campers to express themselves and even make new friends! When else can you dress up in costumes and share a great meal together?
You may be thinking…“Costumes? In addition to packing my kid for camp? I’m already overwhelmed!” We realize it can be tough to think about costumes on top of everything else. You’ve got this, parents! Just remember: One, it’s all about fun for your camper. Theme Night is a creative way to get them involved with the MAPLERIDGE spirit! Two, keep it simple. Oftentimes you can find everything you may need for your child’s costume at your local dollar store. If you want to go big, go for it! But just know that an elaborate costume isn’t required in order for your camper to have a fun night with their friends!
Pro Tip: Do you have younger kids coming to camp? Consider putting their costume in a ziplock bag labeled with the name of the Theme Night. This will guarantee they can find what they need on that night and it will be clean and ready to go! For more packing tips check out our packing guide on what to bring (and what not to bring) to camp.
