Is the price of camp why you are still on the fence about registering your child?
It shouldn’t be!
There are many reasons to be hesitant about registering, but the price should never be! Let us explain…
For a little extra help to make Summer Camp very AFFORDABLE, here are:
Chief’s 7 Simple Ways You Can Save For Camp
Pack A Friend This Summer, Or Maybe A Few Friends
Every new camper you invite, you save $25… & they save $25. So if you invited 4 friends, that’s an easy $100 savings. Learn more about our Pack-A-Friend Referral Program and get the Pack A Friend Discount Code.
Take Advantage Of Our Early Bird Discount
MAPLERIDGE registration opens every October 1st, with a $50 discount offered throughout the month. Plus, we always offer a few extra giveaways. Another bonus to registering early is you can capitalize on the Monthly Installment Plan. Mark your calendar for October 1st, 2020.
Ask for CAMP as Christmas and Birthday Gifts
Have your campers ask you, family members, and especially Grandparents for camp as a gift. Camp makes a great gift! Another option is to draft a letter inviting them to help support you. We bet if you ask, they will contribute!
Set Up A Garage Sale
Chief recommends hosting a 2 Day Garage Sale. (Pro tip: In some locations, Friday mornings produce more cash.) The key: Don’t overprice your junk; sell, sell, sell! One Man’s Junk Is Another Man’s Treasure. Also, you or your camper may have a closet full of really nice, trendy clothes; drop them off at Plato’s Closet…they may pay more than a garage sale!
Ask For Chores Around The House
If you haven’t read Camper Emily’s story of how she paid cash for camp; be sure to! She has saved for camp each year by doing tons of chores around the house, including something as simple as picking up stones and sticks in the yard.
Offer A Service To Your Parent’s Friends
Can your child babysit? How about mow lawns? Maybe y’all can make Strawberry Jam or Maple Syrup? Your camper can offer their services and goods… I bet they will get a great response! Also, they can use their crafty skills and sell on Etsy & Instagram.
Host A Home, School, or Church Show
Chief and the MAPLERIDGE Staff will travel. If you have a group of potential camper families; a home or church show is a great way to pack some friends. We might even throw in an extra discount. Email us to schedule a show today!
****Bonus Tip For Our New York Campers (and our future Hawaii & Cali Campers)*****
Collect your cans and get your 5 cent deposit back! Did you know Chief and his brothers used to scour the ditches of Montrose Turnpike for soda and beer cans… that’s how they purchased their first Nintendo Game System and became masters of Mario Brothers and Duck Hunt. (They couldn’t afford any other games, ok!)
Summer Camp is a life-changing experience and we want everyone reading this post to be at camp this summer.
The cost of camp is never a reason not to attend camp. The most important decision for summer camp is deciding your camper is going to camp. Decide YES, and then everything else will fall into place!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to CHIEF!
See You On Opening Day, If Not Before!
